Hibco Plastics, Inc. was incorporated in 1959 as three primary investors, C.B. Hughes, J.W. Irvin, and S. A. Bell, saw the future importance of fabricating Dow Brand foam for the floral industry.

The initial focus Hibco had on floral markets shifted in 1979 when Dan Pavlansky entered the business and started to concentrate more in the area of cushion packaging. Dan Pavlansky had been the Product Manager with the Dow Chemical Company and understood the technical nature of many complex packaging solutions. The sales volumes doubled in the first year Dan Pavlansky took over the business, and the company was forced to move from a 14,000 sq. ft. building to a facility providing over 120,000 sq. ft of manufacturing space.

Having developed a strong management team during the 80’s and 90’s, Dan Pavlansky, Chairman of the Board, stepped out of day to day operations in January of 1998. Mark, Keith, and Jon Pavlansky, three of Dan’s five sons, continue to manage the family operation. Sales volumes for fiscal 2000 finished at $13.3 million with a continued focus on several fabricated foam markets including cushion packaging, construction, automotive, and military applications.
