Materials - Crosslinked Polyethylene Foam

Crosslinked polyethylene is made from high density polyethylene and contains cross-linked bonds in the polymer structure, changing the thermoplastic into an elastomer. Cross-linking is accomplished during or after the extrusion of the tubing.

Crosslinked PE (XLPE) Foam Sheet
A crosslinked polyethylene foam, used in industrial, orthopedic, and construction where durable padding is required. Available in 2 to 8 pounds per cubic ft. densities in rolls 1/16” through 5/8” and laminated planks. Also available in buns. Available in mint green, gray, charcoal, black, and blue. This material is C.I.D. A-A-59135/59136 Compliant. Some applications might be military packaging, GSA packaging, closure strips, gaskets, seals, sports/gymnasium flooring, dunnage, pads, and corner protectors.
Crosslinked Polyethylene Foam (XLPE) Buns
A crosslinked Polyethylene foam used in sporting goods, cushioning, automotive, orthopedics, and appliances where durable padding is required. Would be used for applications requiring a Class “A” smooth finish that is non-abrasive and dust free. This material provides excellent shock absorption and compression creep qualities. Available from 1.5 to 8 pounds per cubic ft. densities. Available in buns. Available in mint green, gray, charcoal, black, and blue. This material is C.I.D. A-A-59135/59136 Compliant. Some applications might be military packaging, GSA packaging, closure strips, dunnage, pads, and corner protectors.
